“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
— Pablo Picasso
What Paint & Pour is
Paint & Pour is a relaxed, social evening designed to help you step out of everyday roles and enjoy a few hours of creative time in good company.
There’s no pressure to perform, share, or do anything “right.” Some women come to paint quietly, others to talk and laugh, and many do a bit of both.
Many women who attend Paint & Pour are capable, creative women — leaders, professionals, and caregivers with full, demanding lives. This gathering offers a rare pause: time to step out of responsibility and into something simple, restorative, and just for you.
No art experience is needed. Even if painting feels outside your comfort zone, you’ll be gently supported to enjoy the process without pressure, expectations, or judgment.
How It Works
1. Arrive & Settle
You’ll be welcomed into a calm, thoughtfully prepared space designed to help you transition out of the pace of everyday life.
All materials are provided — there’s nothing to prepare or bring except yourself.
Take a moment to arrive, pour a drink, and settle in.
2. A Gentle Invitation to Create
The evening begins with a simple introduction to the paint & pour process, along with an invitation to set a quiet, personal intention for the evening — just for yourself.
This is not about technique or outcome — it’s an invitation to explore color, movement, and intuition in a relaxed, supportive environment.
You’re welcome to follow along, experiment freely, or move at your own pace.
3. Create in Your Own Way
There is no pressure to perform, share, or do anything “right.”
Some women paint quietly.
Some talk and laugh.
Many do a bit of both.
The space is designed to support whatever feels natural for you in the moment.
4. Pause, Connect, Breathe
Paint & Pour is as much about slowing down as it is about creating.
You may notice moments of ease, reflection, or simple enjoyment — a rare pause from roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
Connection happens organically, without obligation.
5. Leave Restored
As the evening comes to a close, you’ll take your painting home with you — often as a reminder of the time you allowed yourself to slow down and be present.
Most women leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and pleasantly surprised by how nourishing the experience felt.
"Paint & Pour is not about becoming an artist — it’s about giving yourself permission to pause, care for yourself, create, and simply be".
Location & Rythm
Paint & Pour is held primarily in Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i.
From time to time, gatherings may take place in other beautiful, inspiring locations.
Paint & Pour is typically held on the first Sunday evening of each month, from 4:00–7:00 PM.
Each month’s location and details are shared in advance — part of the experience is discovering where the next gathering will unfold.
To keep the experience intimate and well-held, each gathering is limited to 10–15 women.
“The evening felt calm and generous. I didn’t have to show up as anything other than myself, and that alone was a relief.”
“I came thinking I wasn’t creative, and left feeling relaxed and surprisingly nourished. It wasn’t about the painting. It was about the space.”
“It was a rare pause in a very full life. No pressure, no expectations — just time to slow down and be with other women.”
“I didn’t expect how special it would feel to take the painting home. It became a quiet reminder of giving myself that time.”
